Connector Privacy Notice

This notice covers the Maeris connector for Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and other assistants that support the Model Context Protocol. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which continues to apply. Where the two differ on connector use, this notice governs.

1. What the connector does

The connector lets your assistant read and change the testing data in your Maeris account: test cases, API definitions, collections, environments, flows, assertions and test results. It acts only on the application you select, and only as the Maeris user who signed in.

2. Information we process

Account identity. When you connect, you sign in to Maeris. We receive an access token identifying your account and the application you chose. It is used to authorise your requests and nothing else.
Testing content. Anything you create or change through the connector is stored in your Maeris account: test names and steps, API definitions, request headers, query parameters, request bodies, assertions, environment names and variables.
Environment variables. Environments can hold credentials you choose to put there. They are stored in your account and sent to the systems your tests target. Do not store production secrets in a test environment.
Execution data. When you run a test or an API, we perform the request against the system you configured and store the response, status codes, timings and any failure output as a result.
Operational logs. We record which tool was called, by which account, and when, so we can run and support the service.

3. What we do not do

We do not receive your conversations beyond the tool calls the connector handles.
We do not read your source code. The connector has no access to your machine.
We do not sell personal data.
We do not use your testing data or content to train models.

4. How we use it

To provide the service: storing and returning your tests and APIs, running them when you ask, reporting results, and supporting and debugging the product.

5. Who we share it with

Infrastructure providers. The connector and the Maeris API run on cloud infrastructure under contract to us, bound by data processing agreements.
Model providers. Some features send the relevant test or failure content to a large language model provider to produce an analysis or suggestion. Only the content needed for that request is sent.

We share with no one else except where we are legally required to.

6. Retention

Testing data is kept while your Maeris account exists. You can delete individual records at any time through the connector or the portal. When an account is closed its data is deleted. Operational logs are kept for a limited period and then removed.

7. Your choices and rights

You can disconnect the connector at any time from your assistant's settings, which immediately stops its access. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to how we process it. Contact us and we will act on your request.

8. Security

All connections use HTTPS. Access requires a valid sign-in, every request is checked against the account that made it, and each request is limited to the application you selected.

9. Changes

If this notice changes we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify account holders.
